- Compliments Deep Dish Pie Crust

- Compliments Sliced Brioche

- milk
- 375 mL
- ½ cup
- sugar
- 125 mL
- ½ tsp
- Compliments Pure Vanilla Extract
- 2 mL

Directions
Step 1
Position rack in centre of oven, then preheat to 230°C (450°F). Set pie crust on a baking sheet and let thaw at room temperature for 15 mins.
Step 2
Meanwhile, cut each brioche slice into quarters, crosswise. Then cut each strip into 3 squares. (You will have 24 squares in total.)
Step 3
Whisk eggs with milk, sugar, vanilla extract and salt in a medium bowl. Pour into thawed crust. Arrange brioche over custard, dunking them so they are soaked. (Bread will float.)
Step 4
Bake for 10 mins. Reduce heat to 180°C (350°F). Continue baking until pudding puffs up and a skewer inserted in centre of pie comes out clean, 30 to 35 mins. (It’s okay if custard is still jiggly.) Transfer to a rack to cool completely, about 1 hr. Serve or refrigerate, covered, up to 3 days.
